DESCRIPTION:THIS IS A VIRTUAL CLASS ON SATURDAY MORNINGS.\nContinue your watercolor journey with a weekly paint along of winter scenes. Instructor will select reference images and send out Thursday before class. Students are encouraged to sketch out before the class and be ready to paint. Classes are recorded for students to watch and paint along with during the week on their own as well.\nNo of classes: 4\nClass Dates: Saturday, Jan 27, Feb 3, 10, 17\nTime: 9:30-10:45am\nLive classes: 1.25 hr online (Zoom link will be send after registration)\nInstructor: Roberta K\nFor information on materials, download the the Watercolor Supplies handout.\nRecommended Materials List:\n\nMedium size watercolor block or pad – Cold Press (Arches – 10×14 or smaller) 140 lb.\nSoft natural sponge and cellulose kitchen sponge for controlling the amount of water on your brushes\n#2 or #3 Pencil\nKneaded eraser\n2 large plastic containers for water – 16 oz. containers\n#4, #8 round brush\n3/4” flat or 1″ wash brush\nSmall stiff bristle brush – you will find these with the acrylic and oil brushes (will be used for scrubbing, lifting and correcting)\nWatercolor Palette – large plastic palette, with large enough wells to mix pools of paint\nPaper towels, Tissues\nRoll of blue painter’s tape\nMasking Fluid (optional)\n\nWatercolor Paint: (Recommend Artist Grade paint which has more pigment but is more expensive; Student Grade paint is less expensive and is also acceptable if price is an issue)\nSuggested colors:\n\nCool Yellow (Pick 1): Hansa Yellow Light, Aureole (Cobalt Yellow), Azo\nWarm Yellow (Pick 1): Cadmium Yellow Medium, Yellow Ochre\nWarm Red (Pick 1): Cadmium Red, Vermillion\nCool Red: Alizarin Crimson\nBlues: Cerulean, Cobalt, Ultramarine, Turquoise\n2 earth tones (raw sienna, burnt sienna)\nPayne’s gray\n\n
